SPACEHIKER is a small VR tech demo made as a proof-of-concept for the use of the LEAP Motion as a means of immersive, physical movement in a completely 3D zero gravity environment.
SPACEHIKER is built for use with the Oculus Rift DK2 and Leap Motion.
Movement is quite possibly the largest hurdle for virtual reality. Our goal with this project was to confront this issue head-on, by using the LEAP to allow the user immersive, free movement in a 3D space.
